Lay’s Cracker Crisps

In a perfect synchronized-swimming ballet of advertising effectiveness, I saw an ad for Lay’s new Cracker Crisps on Friday, and saw the Cracker Crisps themselves on Saturday. Purchase and smile and pirouette and flourish!
I opened the bag, and Paul and I nearly finished it off in one sitting. The crisps are smaller than […]

Mother’s Day Gift Idea #2: Kona Coffee

It was my mother who recently educated me (in an “oh, by the way, just FYI, not because Mother’s Day is coming up or anything” tone of voice) about the difference between “Kona coffee” and “Kona blend coffee.” According to Swistle’s Mother, Kona coffee is rare and wonderful and expensive; Kona blend is mostly […]

3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 […]

Swistle’s Easter Pie Recipe

This is so easy. Take a pre-made graham cracker crust, or I suppose you could make one yourself, MARTHA STEWART. Take three containers of Breyer’s Creme Savers yogurt, in three different flavors (orange is best, so try to get one of those), PLUS one container of Breyer’s Light yogurt in key lime pie […]
