Old Navy Women’s Perfect Fit Tees
I’m nervous to recommend these t-shirts, even though I own nine of them and wear one just about every day. For one thing, the fabric is THIN. As my friend Beth aptly puts it, they’re “one-ply.” For another thing, the shirt will suddenly GIVE OUT on you: you’ll wash it and wear it and wash it and wear it and etc., and everything will be fine until one day with no warning you’ll put it on and the arm holes will be stretched big enough for your head.
But what I like about these shirts is that they’re comfortable, and the fit is good on me: not too tight, not too sloppy. I’m long-torsoed, and these are some of the only shirts that are LONG enough without being tunics. And they’re CHEAP: I buy them when they’re on sale and I have a percent-off coupon, and so it doesn’t feel unfair if they fall apart a year later. —Swistle

God yes, these are awesome. They now have long-sleeve and 3/4-sleeve varieties too, for the cooler months. The best thing about these, besides the price, is how they’re sized. Yes, they are long enough, and they also come in a huge range of sizes, from XS (I think) to XXL. If you order them online, I think you can get them in “Tall,” too, which makes them even longer (for those of us with the very long torso).
Yeah, they’re thin and they’ll die after a season, but who cares? That’s when you turn them into dust rags or something. They’re soooo soft, your hubby could buff the car with them!

I can relate to your hesitation in recommending them. I have 2 and at first thought they were the best tshirts ever. But, they stretch out and get really worn, so they are no longer my “nice” tshirts, but are my around the house tshirts. I love the length the best. more shirts should be long. It is much more flattering to cover ones mommy belly.

I like these, too, but have found Target’s Mossimo t-shirts to be a very acceptable substitute. They also wear out after one year, but for $6 or thereabouts, it’s hard to complain.

I have two of these and I do love them. They do well in the winter over a thermal long sleeve and under a jacket, because they are so thin.

I am feeling a bit left out. We don’t have an Old Navy here, and The Gap is more expensive than in the US. I could do with $6 T-shirts.

Dynamita - order them online!
Jen - I like the Mossimo t-shirts too, but they definitely run shorter than the Old Navy. ON just seem to make all their shirts longer, which is great for layering, long-torsoed girls, and mommy pooch bellies!
