Coffee-Mate Italian Sweet Creme

italiansweetcreme.pngThis is what I’m drinking in my coffee this morning, and it is SO YUM. It reminds me of the time I sprayed a whole bunch of whipped cream into my coffee and it dissolved all deliciously.

The liquid version of this stuff rocks. I had to wean myself down because I was progressively adding more and more - and pretty soon my husband was asking me if I was going to have some coffee with my creamer.

What is your secret for getting the powder to blend into the coffee? You, of all people, must have a secret for this Swistle! Even when the coffee is scaldingly hot, I still get those disgusting little clumps.

Kristi- Oh! I am not sure! I was going to say, “Well, the coffee has to be HOT,” but I see you’ve got that covered. I wonder if it’s that I typically also add milk to the coffee? Like, I heat the milk in the mug in the microwave, and then add coffee, and then the powdered creamer. Maybe the creamer blends better because of the milk?

I’ve noticed that, with the powdered creamer, stirring it is bad. You have to let it dissolve on its own before you start stirring. (The actual coffee mate brand is pretty fast. The cheap crap, not so much.)

Kristi - try putting the powdered creamer in the mug first, then the coffee, then stir. Actually, I put the creamer in, pour a little hot water in, stir-stir-stir, then add the coffee. It does get clumpy if you add the powder last. As an office drone for more years than I care to count, I’ve done my fair share of coffee-and-powdered-cream experimenting, and this seems to work best. Even with the cheap stuff. Good Luck!

This sounds really good! I like the Limited Edition holiday flavors too. It would be nice to have a good one here to stay!

I absolutely LOVE the Italian Sweet Cream (liquid) so much that I use it in my hot chocolate and in my oatmeal every morning. This stuff rocks and It has me completely hooked! I love that it is low in sugar, fat and sodium! I wish Nestle would sell it in jumbo sizes.

You really have a winner here Nestle, please do NOT stop making it!

Hey I jusyt picked up a container of this Love powder the other day at Target. My wife and I have been Coffee mat french Vanilla freaks for years but have now flikpped over the Crema Italiano”’! We i live in Los Angeles (Woodland Hills) to be exact and we would love to pick up on the liquid version. Nestle website for Coffee-mate says no stores in our area carry the liquid. Where are you freaks finding it?
