Bigelow Vanilla Chai Tea

vanillachaitea.jpgHands down, this is my favorite tea. It’s spicy but not TOO spicy, a nice faintly-nutlike chai flavor that isn’t overwhelming but isn’t too faint. I make it with half milk, half water (microwave about 2 minutes until hot but not boiling), and some Splenda or honey. Mmmmm.

Plus, it’s the kind of tea bag that comes in the little individual paper pouches. I love those. You can mix them in a canister with other kinds of tea and not lose track of which is which, and you can tuck one into a snail-mail letter. —Swistle

I like the idea of tucking it into an envelope. What a nice way to brighten someone’s day!

I like their decaf Lemon Lift, makes a refreshing pitcher of ice tea that doesn’t need sweetener and is also good hot with honey for those under the weather days. The herbal peach is good too; not too peachy.

Oh no! I despise this tea. The vanilla tastes like an air freshener to me and it overpowers the (weak) chai spices. I like a good spicy chai (Tazo and Doublestash are two recent favorites) that doesn’t fade when I add half and half and sugar. I respect all y’all that love this tea, but I do no enjoy it, and I would not recommend it to friends. :-(

So glad you enjoyed your Bigelow Tea Vanilla Chai. Love the idea of slipping the tea bag into snail mail. Not only will you be providing a nice cup of tea for your friend but the letter will smell nice as well!

Thanks for the mention.

i will have to try this. i am not a coffee drinker, but i drink tea every single day. i love chai…but have been soooo disappointed in others i’ve tried. i tried the Stash teas. and every single one was CRAP. total crap. i just hope it’s not too “perfumey”, like sara mentioned.

I blame my cousin for hooking me onto this stuff! It’s the best tea ever! I usually experiment when I buy different teas and various tea brands! I took a couple packs off my cousin and made some at home - ended up buying some of my own! WOW! That stuff’s great to wake up with in the morning! I LOVE it! ^_^ Yummy!
