Tea Tree Australian Chewing Sticks
I randomly bought a box of these Tea Tree sticks at Whole Foods a while back and while I don’t use a toothpick every day or anything, they are really refreshing on those occasions when I’m in need. After a dinner that involves corn on the cob, for instance. They freshen up your mouth, and the flavor (tea tree oil, mint, cinnamon) lasts a long time; it’s sort of a nice alternative to gum.
Supposedly these things are helpful if you’re trying to quit smoking, too. Or if you need to toughen up your look by having a stick protruding from your mouth while you sneer at The Man.
Ballpark price: $3.50 per box (100 sticks)

My husband was totally addicted to these last year, and I’ll admit I got in on it too. They are great for freshening your breath and relieving a dry mouth. I think they make cinnamon ones too.

Hmmm, see while here in Oztraya I am familiar with Thursday Plantation as a range of skin care products - I am yet to see these anywhere on a shelf. Go figure. Maybe having a stick hanging out of your mouth is an American thing…..
