Scunci No-Slip Grip Headwrap
The one thing that can really kill a workout for me — well, other than small children who will not nap on command, being overwhelmed with chores, the inability to stuff my post-pregnancy hooters in my sports bra, pure laziness on my part, etc — is the niggling discomfort of my hair falling into my face during exercise. I cannot adequately explain how much I hate it: it’s distracting, annoying, and I’m certain the amount of effort I put into trying to re-secure my escaping bangs-frizz completely deducts from the total number of calories burned. Which, hello, lame.
Enter the No-Slip Grip Headwrap, essentially just a piece of black elastic with a rubberized lining on one side. I will not try and tell you it’s something I’d wear out on the town, or even to the grocery story, but it does a hell of a job holding back all those the unruly hairs that pull out of my ponytails and evade bobby pins and fall directly onto the surface of my eyeball during Turbo Jam. I imagine these will work equally well for jogging or doing yardwork or whenever I want my hair OFF MAH FACE.
Best four bucks I’ve ever spent on workout gear. No painful elastic snarling, either. Hooray!
Ballpark price: $4 for four

I swear by these things. The only headbands that actually stay in place and keep my hair out of my face.

Hair in my face - during a workout or anytime - is my biggest pet peeve! I will have to check these out….

These things are great. The rubberized strip can lose it’s stick once it has been coated with sweat one too many times (I know, that’s kind of gross) but a quick wash brings it right back. I just rinsed it in hot water and rubbed it between my hands with some hand soap. Easy-peasy and good as new.

I’ve been wanting to know if these were any good or not for a while now. They looked like they might work, but I’ve bought so many hair items that appear useful only to find out upon using them that they are in fact useless. Thanks!

I am waaaaay past the point of relevance on this posting, but what they hey — I might be able to help, because personally, I think these SUCK ASS. They totally do NOT stay put!!
I wore one to the gym one day, and it fell off while I was DRIVING. I tried again when I got there, and within a few minutes of stepping onto the treadmill, the hairband was falling off the back of my head. I had to grab at it to keep it from falling off completely.
I can’t even use them to hold back my hair while I wash my face, because they fall off during the process.
Buy with care! These do NOT work for me!

Kim, I guess the haters are coming to the party late, lol. I had absolutely no luck with these either. I prefer to use a flat barrette to keep the wispy hairs out of my face and a heavy-duty hair tie so it doesn’t come undone while I’m working out.

Correction!
I must admit, sheepishly, that my hair bands that suck ass are Goody brand, not Scunci. Bex, I am sorry not to be able to say that experience has made me hate on the Scunci; however, given my bad experience with the Goody, I am skeptical of all claims of “No-Slip.” Thus, by association, the Scunci probably suck ass also. So in solidarity with Bex, I will give the thumbs down to Scunci.

i loooovveeee these as well … but i do, um, actually, wear them out in the real world. They look SUPER cute if you pull your hair back in a messy bun and use two of them: one really close to your hairline (about 1/2 an inch back) and then a second about an inch behind the first. I get a ton of compliments when I wear my (usually unwashed) hair this way!
