Sani-Hands for Kids
A while ago I got an email from a PR company talking up a new hand sanitizing product created for kids, and although I normally ignore these sorts of things this one sounded interesting enough that I emailed back and asked if they’d send me a sample. Maybe because we’ve battled approximately 204857 colds in our family over the last couple months, and with a newborn on the way I’ve been unusually interested in Stuff Sporting Antibacterial Properties.
Anyway, these Sani-Hands things are essentially individually wrapped wet wipes that purport to kill 99.9% of germs (the last .01% must be some tenacious bacterial sumbitches). They’ve got some moisturizing goo on them (aloe, glycerin, and vitamin E) and they don’t have that uber-alcohol funk that you get with most hand gels like Purell.
I can’t yet say whether or not I’ve noticed that this product has made a difference with regards to colds etc, but I do like the convenience of the wipes — I’d rather use a wipe to clean Riley’s hands than just smearing some gel on there (for those times when hand washing isn’t a viable option). It’s also nice that they come as individually packaged items, so you could throw a few in your purse or whatever instead of hauling around a big plastic dispenser.
All in all, not a bad product to check out if you’re a parent with grimy, germy kids (and what kids aren’t?). According to the PR company, Sani-Hands for Kids is available at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us.
