Uni-Ball Vision Liquid Ink Rollerball Pen
I don’t have a thing for pens, exactly, but I do like a good writing instrument. Not because I write anything by longhand anymore, but I’m addicted to doodling during meetings and phone calls. My specialties are the Interlocking Squares and the Random Swirly Objects, in case you’re interested. I also enjoy drawing very small robots.
ANYWAY, I have to plug this fine pen by the good people of Sanford. The Uni-ball Vision has smooth ink flow, the tip is crisply, perfectly sized, and the pen itself is comfortable enough to doodle through at least five pages of notebook paper. It even has a handy window so you can see the ink level.
This pen is so awesome someone reviewed it on Amazon with the following: “I actually feel naked unless I’ve got one of these babies tucked safely in my pocket, and I get strangely paranoid when someone asks to borrow one, or if my stash is getting low.” Heh. Oh noes! I have forgotten my pen! My genitalia, it is exposed!

I’m a uni-ball vision junkie, too. It’s sad. I feel physically UNCOMFORTABLE writing with a normal ballpoint now.
It’s just so GOOD!

I LOVE these pens too. Actually I just bought a whole pack of them (after I used up the free one I had). They are super, and I’ve been using them every day!

I have a thing for pens. Also blank paper. I hoard it. I’m like a dragon of writing utensils and stationery.

Yes, this is one of my all-time favorites. I have one on my desk right this moment!

I will add that for us lefties, the liquid ink version you describe is a little too smeary. There is, however, a “deluxe” version that lacks the nifty ink level window and instead has a gold barrel and it is not smeary and AWESOME and I will not lend them out to people because at $2 a pen I can’t afford to lose them.

I like the ones they make that are retractable. I have a thing about pens without caps (largely because when I have them, the caps are off on my desk, I start typing, pen leaks all over my arm/shirt….) But the retractable roller balls - in purple - are my favorite.

I love Pilot G-2s, they’re the retractable ones like GoingLoopy mentions. I am all about rollerball pens. They are fabulous and doodle-friendly! We all are incredibly possessive about them at work and hide them from the traders so they don’t walk off with them.

I love the Pilot G2 also. My doodle specialty is intersecting curvy lines and coloring in the enclosed areas. There have been some I’ve considered framing….

You HAVE to try the Pilot G2. You’ll convert.

As a grant writer, I spill a lot ink each day. I love the G2s, perhaps in a way that is a bit unhealthy. I have them 8 colors (oh, that elusive Orange/Hunter/Navy pack - someday I will find you). I especially love that you can get refills: I have used one blue casing for six years now. Yeah for pen love!
