Bacon-Chocolate Candy Bar
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. Bacon? And chocolate? Together? Um, YES PLEASE.
“Deep milk chocolate coats your mouth and leads to the crunch of smoked bacon pieces. Surprise your mouth with the smoked salt and sweet milk chocolate combination.”
As the saying used to go, I want to dip my balls in that.

You know you’re my hero, right? This discovery may very well make my boyfriend cry. Or propose. Ahhh, the power of bacon.

I hate bacon, haaaaate it. Love chocolate, but not enough to eat it with bacon. How about some chocolate & peanut butter? Now that’s a combination.

Oh…….my……..god! That is about the best thing I have EVER heard of! Somebody seems to like the same weird food combinations that I do. Of course I try not to eat bacon because of the whole dying of a heart attack thing, but this looks like it’s worth a try!

Dammit Sundry… I thought this was going to be a Simpsons joke. (No, I don’t know why).

I can’t decide if that’s utterly disgusting or utterly amazing. I mean, chocolate-covered potato chips were surprisingly good, but only in moderation, and the idea was horrifying to me, so bacon? Might be too much. Then again, it is bacon, and everybody loves bacon… Ugh. My head might explode from over-thinking this.
However, did you know you can also make soap out of bacon?

i was kind of disappointed in it. in fact, i shared in a bar with about six other people and we all kind of felt…eh…about it. the salt is good, but the bacon…eh, there’s really not enough of it to make it really bacony. the chocolate and the salt though, that part is lovely.
sorry. try it and tell us all what you think, i’d be curious to know.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. At work. I’ve never been so repulsed in all my life. I actually applaud whoever was brave enough to try this the first time, but COME ON…I guess I’m in the minority, judging by the responses thus far, when I say “Blaaah. Puh ah tuh.” (that was me throwing up outside of my mouth).

I picked up one of these bars at Sam’s liquors, figuring I’d give Vosges the benefit of the doubt, as I’ve adored both their Barcelona and Black Pearl bars.
The bacon is exceptionally strong and smokey, which would normally overwhelm most chocolate, but the smoked salt unifies the two. It’s more of a savory bar than you’d expect, and extremely bold, but the richness of the chocolate holds up well.
The only real criticism I have is that the bacon bits are extremely hard and sharp, which makes the push-it-up-against-your-palate-let-it-melt experience more than just a bit perilous.
