Connoisseurs Jewelry Cleaner

jewelrycleaner.jpgI often find that my many, many bucketloads of priceless jewels can become a tad dull after a hard day of sifting through thousand-dollar bills. And it’s so difficult to find good help these days, don’t you agree? My last manservant left in a huff, after I had merely asked him to hand-polish my collection of ice grillz, custom designed for me by Monsieur Bling. I mean, really.

Well, as I’ve always said – archly, while waving a diamond pave cigarette holder – if one wants the job done right, darling, sometimes one simply has to do it oneself.

This jewelry cleaner works magic on the most pedestrian of jewelry, not that I would personally know what it’s like to wear a diamond less than twenty carats. I’ve heard that it will put a eye-catching clean shine on watches, silver necklaces, and titanium wedding rings, too, although…do people really wear such tacky things? The very idea makes me feel a tad dizzy…perhaps my hot pink Juicy Couture sweatsuit is too warm, especially when you consider the mink-oil implants and all. Pardon moi.

(Seriously, this is an wonderful, sparkle-producing jewelry cleaner and I’ve had the same container for about a million years. It comes with a little soaking tray, and a brush to scrub the plebian grime from your pretty pretty things. The liquid solution is probably the exact same stuff that’s in bubble wand containers, but I’m telling you, it works like a charm.)

I love this stuff. I have been using the same bottle for almost three years. It’s the best.

I have also been using that for years. Other than my wedding band/engagement ring combo - every other item I use it for is sterling silver and it does GREAT.

Ooh! Ooh! So it cleans off the tarnish on silver? Without having to use that cruddy pink paste? I hate the cruddy pink stuff and was looking for something easier just last week. Good timing! But really, tarnish? All gone?

Thanks for the tip. I have been looking for something like this, but didn’t know what to buy.

I was just about to ask the same question as Claire above… does it really take the grimy looking tarnish off silver??

I’ve never used it to remove tarnish, just dirt/smudges, but my guess is no. It’s a soapy water solution, seems like tarnish-removal stuff is always thick and pasty.

No, this particular stuff does not remove tarnish, but Connoisseurs makes a silver cleaner that comes in a tub just like this (only silver) that INSTANTLY removes tarnish. It’s a little freaky, and the first time I did it, I ran through the house grabbing up anything silver just to watch it happen again. Now I’m waiting for everything to get tarnishy again, so I can do it all over.

I highly recommend both. Oh, and a tip–after cleaning my scads of gems, I dry them with tissue paper. It doesn’t streak or leave little bits of lint.
