Pretty leather wallet from Fireworks
The Fireworks Gallery website says “Nothing feels better than having a cashier compliment your wallet at the grocery store”. This actually happens to me all the time. My wallet is just THAT cute.
(I don’t know about the “nothing feels better” part, though. I mean, it’s nice, but come on. I can think of a few things that might feel better: winning the lottery, eating a chocolate-covered potato chip, sleeping in past 7 AM, making out with George Clooney. I’m just saying: perspective, Fireworks.)
I have this wallet in pink, and other than some scuffing it’s held up remarkably well over time, even with the piles of useless cards I cram it with (old business cards; expired driver’s licenses: why?). The stitching is all intact and it continues to get unsolicited compliments from total strangers, so really, you could say it’s far more attractive than its owner.
Update: I took a photo of the inside of the wallet, for those who might be curious. There is a zippered pocket for coins in the middle, the typical area for cash/thousands of debit card receipts, six card-slots in the front, one plastic protected pocket for your ID (or in my case, a photo of Riley looking deeply suspicious), and a bunch of other slots for cards you never ever use.
If you’re not lucky enough to have a Fireworks in your neck of the woods (woe!), you can buy online. Wallet awesomeness: yours for twenty-eight bucks. Not bad.

I love Fireworks. Whenever we’re in Seattle we like to hit the one downtown in uh, that snotty mall. The Westlake Center I believe!
I spend way to long in there and everyone who k nows me hates to go in there with me. I really like to “take it all in” cause I can’t buy it all, can I?

There is a chocolate shop near me that sells chocolate-covered potato chips. If you want, I can try to send you some.

Okay, as a total purse and wallet whore I just have to know what the INSIDE looks like. How many pockets? Any place for coins? Their website didn’t show the inside either! Weird!

I dunno, if a grocery store cashier commented on my wallet I’d be totally freaked out. And I AM a grocery store cashier.

I had a smaller one in red and then when that sort of bit it, I got another one in black. I get compliments on it all the time!
